U is for Under

On one of the last days of school, students enjoyed a field trip to the park to eat lunch and enjoy games of soccer, wiffle ball, and playing with this colorful parachute.

Today is March 1, which means Theme Day in the City Daily Photo community. This month's theme is Cafe Chairs. These chairs are at Coolidge Park. They aren't really at a cafe, but cool none-the-less.

The West Side

...of Coolidge Park from the Walnut Street Bridge. Yesterday I shared the view looking from the other side of the bridge. Today you can see the animal fountain where children play, the grassy area which hosts pick-up games of football, soccer, and frisbee, and the carousel which is housed under the round blue roof with the horse weather vane.

Coolidge Park

...from the Walnut Street Bridge. This view is looking to the east side of the park. The grass is very green and the crape myrtles are very pink. I like this view of all the restaurants and shops that line the back of the park.

Twilight Walk

Lights lead the way into Coolidge Park as the sun sets.

A Light in the Night

The fountain at Coolidge Park lights up at night, making a striking subject.

Colorful Chairs

These chairs are just waiting for someone to come along and while away the time.

Carousel

These fancy animals are part of the carousel at Coolidge Park.

Family Fun

Coolidge Park is full of families enjoying time together playing outside. The blue building in the background houses a carousel, which I'll share tomorrow.
